The X-Ray Aluminum and Plastic pouches feature an M4 (not M5) threaded insert or tapped hole, designed for mounting their 48mm magnets. DoubleTap has found the use of a concave washer instead of the flat washer provided by Double Alpha allows for a more secure hold of the magnet, and ensure more threads are captured when tightening.

Mounting Guidelines provided by Double Alpha Academy:

• Aluminum X-Ray Pouch: Washer not required.
• Plastic X-Ray Pouch: Place washer between the pouch body and magnet to prevent insert pull-out under force.

Avoid over-tightening the screw—use a drop of Loctite for secure fastening.
