Recoil springs for Colt 1911 series pistols in the  variable power design.

Wolff’s variable recoil spring has coils spaced unevenly, making it softer at the start of compression (for easier slide racking) and progressively stiffer as it compresses (to absorb recoil and return the slide smoothly). Unlike standard springs with uniform coil spacing that offer linear resistance, variable springs provide a curved energy storage, reducing felt recoil and improving cycling for smoother, faster follow-up shots in competition guns, though they’re specialized for certain firearms and ammo.

Each Wolff recoil spring for Colt pistols includes an extra power firing pin spring.

All springs are produced from Wolff proprietary HTCS spring material except as noted.
